Our Story

In April of 2010, we met at a New York City Board Game meet-up, over a game of Manila of all things. After many boardgames, some incredible dates around NYC and a fortuitous visit by Rob's brother David, Ramon moved into Rob's apartment in Brooklyn.

Six months later we moved to the UWS, adopted a shelter dog we named Paul and started to lay down the foundation of our life together: our family and friends, cooking, cocktails, entertaining, movies, theater, poker night, travel, board game conventions -- these are only a fraction of the wonderful things we've shared.

A brownstone residence in the heart of historic Harlem.

Via Cab (the easiest)

Residence is a on a one-way street, to it's best to have your cab driver go North on Amsterdam, take a right on 141st Street, then make a left on Hamilton Terrace. Number 40 is about half-way up the block.
Look for a festive greeter in the front.

Via Subway

Residence is a couple of blocks away from the 145th street subway stop of the A, C, B and D trains

Getting Here

Residence is located in the Harlem neighborhood of Manhattan in New York City.

There are thee airports that serve New York City:

La Guardia
JFK Airport
Newark Airport

Taxis are available from any of these airports into any location of Manhattan. La Guardia is the closest and offers the cheapest cab fare. The JFK and Newark airports are slightly further out, but offer both cab and public transit options. We recommend you budget 30-60 minutes to get from the airport to your hotel via cab, or 60-90 minutes if you are taking public transit.

Hotels tend to be expensive in New York, so we've reserved two blocks of rooms at a discounted group rate. Both of these options have lots of walkable sightseeing options, as well as easy access to transportation via the subway or cabs.

Located at the Southern tip of Manhattan near the site of the World Trade Center. Close to Statue of Liberty, Wall Street and Chinatown.
